Pripyat is rainy and stormy so don't expect much sun there. Jupiter is mostly clear with more storms. Zaton is often foggy as it is a swamp like area.

Vortexes could spawn artefacts (although possibility to spawn is quite low - 5%) so after the psi storm don't forget to sweep the area with your detector. Decent armor/drugs protection reduces the mind damage but the vortexes are still dangerous as they generate hi-voltage electrostatic damage in close distance. Psi radiation cumulates in vortexes which generate high psi levels when they discharge. Psi storms are the new kind of weather anomaly that is very dangerous to unequipped stalkers. Acidic fallout very quickly degrades the armor/helmets.

The nearest cover is shown on the minimap when radiation or biohazard levels become deadly. They can cause significant damage if player caught in the open without decent protection from armor, artifacts or drugs. The Zone is now even more hostile as radioactive and acidic fallouts occur from time to time. It also features blowout waves based on those seen in Clear Sky intro.

This part of the mod replaces vanilla blowout sequence making blowouts dark and gloomy, showing strange atmospherical phenomena similar to aurora borealis (northern lights) due to high level of ionizing radiation. Sun position has been fixed and now you can see the sun actually setting to the west and rising to the east. The vision distances for some weather cycles has been increased (and reduced for other) so on a clear day you can now see almost across the whole area. Call Of Pripyat that tweaks and expands the vanilla weather system to be more realistic and various. If the player does this however, a suit with good protection is required as the ambient heat will damage the player.Р В РІР‚СњР В РІР‚С›fter the experiment is done, the player must collect back the mutant detector and take it back to Ozersky to complete the mission.AtmosFear is a mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. This can be easily done by luring the snorks in the Vortexes which will be an instant kill. The experiment will end once all snorks are killed or after some time, so if the player isn't up to wait for the experiment to finish by itself, they will have to deal with all the snorks. After it is done, around ten snorks will jump into the anomaly. Once the player is at the Bitumen Anomaly, they must plant the detector in the center of the area. In order to verify the hypothesis, Ozersky asks the player to use a special mutant detector in the Bitumen Anomaly and see the reaction. After Degtyarev reports that he and the team he was covering was under constant attack from mutants while the team was studying the anomalies, Ozersky tells him he believes that either mutants have a territorial behavior, or can react to emissions. This mission is available from Ozersky after Anomaly research was completed. Hypothesis is a side mission available in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
